BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. Businessmen from Afghanistan purchased gasoline of the RON-92 brand from Turkmen production during trading on March 10 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
Entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased 15,000 tons of gasoline on the exchange at a price of $749.5 per ton. The total amount of the transactions was $11.2 million.
The gasoline sent for export was manufactured at the enterprises of the Turkmen Turkmennebit State Concern.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
For example, the Turkmenbashi Oil Processing Complex located in the Balkan region in the west of Turkmenistan produced over 1.5 million tons of gasoline in 2022, exceeding the plan by 13.7 percent.
