BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 31. The total volume of non-cash payments via terminals in January 2023 amounted to 960.3 million Turkmen manat ($286.2 million) in Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.

During the specified period, the total amount of non-cash payments through ATMs amounted to 21.09 million Turkmen manat ($6.28 million), which is 45.4 percent more than in January 2022 (14.5 million Turkmen manat or $4.32 million).

Non-cash turnover on bank cards for the first month of this year amounted to 1.05 billion Turkmen manat ($312.9 million).

Meanwhile, the total volume of non-cash payments through terminals in Turkmenistan in 2022 amounted to 13.8 Turkmen manat ($3.93 million), which is 27.7 percent more than in 2021.

The country's financial sector is constantly expanding. In particular, mobile applications are being introduced to pay for various services and goods, the number of non-cash payments is increasing, and payment for goods and services is being implemented through bank terminals.
