BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 31. Livestock farms of the Lebap region, located in the east of Turkmenistan, received more than 73,700 from 80,200 sheep, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.

According to the information, there are currently more than 159,500 sheep in the Lebap region overall.

At the same time, in the current season, farms in the region also received an offspring in the amount of 74,700 goats.

Five livestock farms of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan located in the region, despite the cold winter, were well prepared.

A lot of work is being done in Turkmenistan to develop animal husbandry, increase the number of livestock, produce meat and dairy products, and strengthen the feed base of the industry. The improvement of local livestock enterprises continues.

Most of the livestock production is accounted for by the private sector of Turkmenistan.
