BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. The total amount of transactions in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to about $80.03 million last week, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, entrepreneurs from the UAE, Afghanistan and other countries purchased diesel fuel, gasoline, aviation kerosene produced at the enterprises of the Turkmennebit State Concern, as well as urea and gasoline produced by the Turkmenhimiya State Concern in exchange for foreign currency.
Representatives of business circles from Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan purchased cotton yarn and fabric.
Turkmen entrepreneurs bought wheat bran for the domestic market in the amount of 962,500 Turkmen manats ($274,718).
A total of 30 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
