BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. Turkmenistan imported 4.28 million euros worth of mineral products from the EU countries from January through March this year, the source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
These figures for the reporting period are 65.9 percent more than in the first three months of last year (2.58 million euros).
According to Eurostat, Turkmenistan imported mineral products from EU countries in March 2023 in the amount of 1.23 million euros, which is almost 15 percent, or 160,000 euros more than in February 2023 (1.07 million euros).
In general, Turkmenistan reduced imports of goods from EU countries by 12.7 percent in the first three months of this year compared to January through March 2022 (149.38 million euros) to 130.42 million euros.
The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the EU countries from January through March 2023 amounted to over 209.04 million euros, which is 13.3 percent less than the same period last year (241.11 million euros).
