ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 24. Dostluk enterprise, located in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan, processed 17,408 tons of wheat from January through July this year, Trend reports.
According to official data, the number of products manufactured by the enterprise for the corresponding period was equal to 12.3 million Turkmen manats ($3.5 million).
Furthermore, the enterprise produced 727 tons of bread and over 4,000 tons of bran in the first seven months of 2023.
The company manufactured over 26,300 tons of flour, 8,100 tons of bran, 1,400 tons of bread and bakery products, and 750 tons of rice last year.
Flour production in Turkmenistan plays a key role in ensuring the country's food security and is one of the main branches of agriculture. Government support, technological innovations, and favorable natural conditions contribute to the development of this industry and create conditions for sustainable economic growth.
