ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 28. Turkmenistan has notably raised both the manufacturing and outbound shipment of electricity from January through July 2023, Trend reports.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Baymyrat Annamamedov, at a government meeting held on August 25, 2023.
As per his statements, during the specified period, the growth rate of electricity production by the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan amounted to 5.8 percent and its exports to 3.9 percent.
Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that the plan for the manufacturing of products and the work performed within the framework of this ministry were fulfilled at a level of 112.9 percent.
Turkmenistan is actively joining the unified energy system of Central Asia.
Turkmenistan is expected to significantly increase the volume of electricity exports by 8.7 percent by 2025. The achievement of this goal will be facilitated by the construction of new power plants, power transmission lines, modern transformer substations, and energy distribution facilities.
