ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 21. The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is stepping up efforts in cooperation with Turkmenistan to significantly improve trade and transit ties, a source at the OSCE told Trend.
The organization stressed that the OSCE Center in Ashgabat in recent years has strengthened its measures to support Turkmenistan's efforts in the field of confidence-building and security, as well as actively supported the country in the fight against money laundering.
At the same time, it was noted that the OSCE actively contributes to Turkmenistan in the development of economic ties and the introduction of best environmental practices. Its intensified efforts in this area help to create favorable conditions for sustainable economic growth and improvement of the quality of life of citizens of Turkmenistan, as well as contribute to reducing the negative impact on the environment and preserving natural resources for future generations.
Meanwhile, the OSCE is an international intergovernmental organization founded in 1975 that was established to promote cooperation between participating states in the fields of political and military security, economic development, and cooperation, as well as in the fields of human rights and humanitarian issues.
