ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 2. The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan held auctions last week, at which it concluded contracts with foreign entrepreneurs totaling $37.5 million, Trend reports.
According to the exchange, businessmen from the UAE, Kazakhstan and Georgia purchased organic kerosene and polypropylene produced by the Turkmennebit State Concern, and other entrepreneurs from the UAE – carbamide produced at the enterprises of the Turkmenhimiya State Concern.
Furthermore, businessmen from Türkiye, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan purchased smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products, cotton yarn and cotton fabric.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan's businessmen purchased polypropylene produced by the Turkmennebit State Concern for the domestic market for a total amount of 5.4 million Turkmen manat ($1.54 million).
A total of 16 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
During the previous reporting period, the number of currency transactions on exchange in Turkmenistan exceeded $8 million.
