Turkmenistan and Italy significantly increase trade turnover

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 26. The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Italy in the period from January through July 2023 amounted to more than 128.9 million euros, a source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.

The information indicates an increase of 33.3 percent compared to the volume of trade recorded in the first seven months of the previous year, which amounted to 96.66 million euros.

Turkmenistan's exports to Italy in the period from January through July 2023 amounted to almost 45.57 million euros, which indicates a decrease of 18 percent compared to the same months of 2022, when it reached 38.6 million euros.

At the same time, Turkmenistan imported goods worth 83.33 million euros from Italy during the specified period, which is 43.5 percent more than in the first seven months of last year (58.06 million euros)

The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Italy for the whole of 2022 amounted to 173.13 million euros, which is a significant decrease of 2.7 times compared to the trade turnover in 2021, which amounted to 471.62 billion euros.
