ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 18. Businessmen from Türkiye bought cotton yarn, denim, smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products on the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports.
According to the exchange, Türkiye's entrepreneurs have concluded an agreement on the purchase of cotton yarn, smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products with Turkmenistan at a price of $1,820 through $2020 per ton for a total amount of about $2.52 million.
Concurrently, other businessmen from Türkiye concluded a deal on the exchange for the purchase of denim for a total of $4.72 million.
The textiles were manufactured at the enterprise of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan is actively developing its textile industry, attracting the attention of entrepreneurs from all over the world, including from Türkiye.
This strategic focus on the development of the textile sector is accompanied by the modernization of production facilities, the introduction of innovative technologies and the improvement of the quality of manufactured goods.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
