ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 11. Textile production in Turkmenistan showed growth from January through November this year, exceeding the levels observed over the same period in 2022, Trend reports.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdaev, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
He noted that during the specified period, the volume of products manufactured by enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, cotton fabric, increased by 7.1 percent respectively compared to the same period last year.
Atdaev stressed that the production of clothing and knitwear increased by 4.5 percent from January through November 2023, while leather remained unchanged compared to the first eleven months of 2022.
Furthermore, he added that the plan for the production of carpet products at the enterprises of Turkmenistan's Turkmenhaly State Association has been exceeded by 3.9 percent.
Turkmenistan's textile sector is undergoing a notable phase of advancement, evident in the upswing of textile production.
Enhanced government backing and strategic investments in this sector not only boost production volumes but also enhance the quality of the products.
