ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, March 4. Turkmenistan surpassed the initial forecast with a 7.2 percent revenue increase in the state budget from January through February 2024, Trend reports.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to him, during the specified period, the expenditure part of the state budget was fulfilled by 97.9 percent, and the volume of capital investments disbursed from all sources of financing increased by 24.6 percent compared to the first two months of 2023.
Furthermore, Geldimyradov added that wages from January to February of this year for large and medium-sized enterprises in the country increased by 10.3 percent compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
In the meantime, Turkmenistan has showcased consistent expansion of its economy through varied initiatives in the energy, transportation, and infrastructure domains.
The nation is actively executing programs to allure foreign investment, concentrating on economic diversification and enhancing the business environment.
