ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, May 29. The Buyan agro-industrial complex, located in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan, produced raw materials for medicines in the amount of 6.11 million Turkmen manat ($1.7 million) from January through March of this year, Trend reports.
According to official data, during this period the company produced almost 780 tons of licorice root and 375 tons of licorice extract.
At the same time, during the corresponding period, the company exported 105 tons of licorice root extract.
In general, the Buyan agro-industrial complex harvested 19,000 tons of raw licorice root in 2022 and produced 2,963 tons of refined and packaged products, as well as about 680 tons of dry extract and 610 tons of thick licorice root extract.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan invests heavily in the formation of modern industrial infrastructure, which contributes both to the comprehensive development of the regions and to the economic prosperity of the country as a whole.
