ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 8. In accordance with the schedule approved at a recent Cabinet meeting on June 7, grain harvesting began in the Ahal, Lebap and Mary regions of Turkmenistan, Trend reports.

Harvesting will begin on June 14 for farmers in the Balkan and Dashoguz regions, according to official statistics.

Turkmen farmers will have to harvest 1.4 million tons of grain from the 690,000 hectares allocated for winter crops this year, including 400,000 tons in the Ahal region, 345,000 tons in Mary, 310,000 tons in Lebap, 265,000 tons in Dashoguz, and 80,000 tons in the Balkan region.

The agro-industrial complex is becoming more efficient as a result of Turkmenistan's large-scale transformations, which are also leading to innovative solutions to engineering and technical support issues and the purchase of equipment with the most recent modifications adapted to the soil and climate of the country.

Modern, high-performance combine harvesters will be used this year for the harvest. These machines will help farmers harvest more efficiently and with less waste by working around the clock.
