ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 10. The construction sector in Turkmenistan has exceeded expectations by surpassing its production targets from January through May this year, Trend reports.

According to the official source, this was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Baymyrat Annamamedov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on June 7.

He noted that the plan for the production and execution of works in the construction and industrial complex for the first five months of this year exceeded 17.2 percent.

Furthermore, Annamamedov added that during the reporting period, the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan surpassed the plan by 7.2 percent.

"The Ministry of Industry and Construction Production has manufactured products and carried out work for 735 million Turkmen manat ($210 million) in five months of this year," he said.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan's construction sector has witnessed significant growth in recent years, fueled by strong state support for infrastructure projects and increased foreign investments.

The country is actively incorporating state-of-the-art technologies into construction methods, improving the quality of its housing stock, and modernizing urban and transportation infrastructure.

These efforts not only raise living standards for residents but also enhance the country's attractiveness to potential investors.
