ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 2. The 'Ak Uzum' farm enterprise of the Ak Bugday district, located in the Akhal region of Turkmenistan, has almost tripled its wheat harvest plan, Trend reports.
Based on official data, the farm managed to exceed expectations by a significant margin. Instead of the projected 168 tons of white wheat, they were able to harvest and store around 475 tons, nearly tripling the original plan.
In general, the farm enterprise has grown wheat of the 'Alekseich' variety on 75 hectares of land.
Meanwhile, in early February of this year, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on a significant increase in public procurement prices for wheat.
Compared with the purchase prices that have been set since 2019, the price per ton of wheat has been raised 2.5 times - from 800 Turkmen manat ($229) to 2000 Turkmen manat ($572.5).
