ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 1. Belarusian producers are showing growing interest in the transit capabilities of Turkmenistan, Trend reports.
This was highlighted during a meeting between the Belarusian Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Vyacheslav Beskosty, and the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, Mammethan Chakyev, who also serves as the co-chair of the Intergovernmental Belarus-Turkmenistan Commission on Economic Cooperation.
The discussions focused on the current state and future prospects of bilateral trade and economic relations, including plans for the next session of the Intergovernmental Commission.
The sides expressed a desire to strengthen business contacts between entrepreneurs from the two countries.
Moreover, on July 31, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov met with Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Minsk, Nazarguly Shagulyev. They discussed various aspects of Belarus-Turkmenistan cooperation at the bilateral level, including the schedule of upcoming meetings and visits.
Additionally, the parties noted the positive developments in educational collaboration, particularly the training of Turkmen students in Belarusian universities.
