(turkmenistan.ru) - As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports referring to the State news service (TDH), California's three largest cities, San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco, played host to the Turkmen people applied art exhibitions and expositions of photo posters telling about history and modern days of Turkmenistan as well as concerts of folk music that lasted for one week. It should be noted that many Americans who attended the festive events wore Turkmen national dresses.
Welcome addressed received from the US President Administration and California's mayor office were read out at the opening ceremony of the Turkmenistan culture days, the TDH reports. The addresses conveyed the wishes of successful conduct of festivities which were dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, reports Trend.
During the culture days the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the U.S., Mered Orazov, spoke before the teachers and students of Point Loma (San Diego) and Lincoln (San Francisco) Universities on the establishment and development of Turkmenistan.
