UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan happy with steady development of bilateral relations

(Turkmenistan.ru) - "We feel great respect towards Turkmen people as we witness the birth of the civilized, highly developed society," the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the UAE to Turkmenistan, Hasan Abdulla Al Azab Al Zaruni said speaking on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the UAE national day, reports Trend.

In his speech the diplomat noted that since the day of unification the foreign policy of the UAE has been guided by the principles and rules established by the international community taking into account national specifics. The UAE policy is aimed at expanding and strengthening comprehensive cooperation. It is based on moderation and balance, dialog and openness, desire to establish relations with all states on the principle of mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs of other states, resolution of conflicts only by diplomatic means and through negotiations, the diplomat said.

According to him, the UAE attaches great importance to the development of comprehensive relations with brotherly Turkmenistan with a view to boosting and developing the interstate contacts in all areas - policy, economy and culture.

"Surely, our countries have great potential of cooperation. Realization of this potential will serve the wellbeing of two peoples, the head of the UAE diplomatic mission said. Numerous visits to Turkmenistan by the UAE delegations, the visit of the UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahayan are clear evidence of the high interest in the establishment of broader interstate dialog."

"Cooperation in the sphere of culture is gradually getting momentum, Hasan Abdulla Al Azab Al Zaruni said. In particular, a group of talented UAE children recently participated in the international children's forum in the town of Turkmenbashi, and a folklore group of 45 people from the UAE visited Ashgabat to participate in presentation of the Arabic version of the second volume of Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov's book Ruhnama."

"We are really happy with the steady development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE," the ambassador said.
