( Turkmenistan) - Iran's deputy foreign minister Mehdi Safari handed over to Turkmen president Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov an official letter of President Mahmud Ahmadinezhad inviting the president of Turkmenistan to visit Iran in the near future. The invitation was accepted with gratitude, the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports quoting the press service of the Turkmen president.
The official visit of Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov to Tehran is scheduled for June 15-16. Mehdi Safari expressed confidence that the forthcoming top-level talks will boost the traditionally friendly neighborly relations between the two peoples.
