Polish Defense Minister Tomasz Siemoniak will pay a working visit to Tashkent on March 16-17, Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

The Uzbek-Polish negotiations on bilateral cooperation, as well as on issues of mutual interest are planned to be held during the Polish delegation's visit to Tashkent, the Foreign Ministry said.

During the visit, Tomasz Siemoniak will hold talks with Uzbek Defense Minister Kabul Berdiyev and Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov.

The main topic of the talks will be withdrawal of coalition forces of NATO member countries from Afghanistan, which is planned for 2014.

Siemoniak will also visit the Armed Forces Academy of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, where he will deliver a lecture.

As it was reported, Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks and UK Defence Secretary Philip Hammond visited Tashkent in February, while Defense Minister of Germany Thomas de Mezieres in March.
