A large group of employees working in education, health, culture, art, media and other fields has been awarded in connection with the 21st anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence.
According to Uzbek President Islam Karimov's decree, honorary titles were assigned to 135 people. They were awarded with medals. The titles of people's artist, people's poet, people's teacher, honored figure of science, honored artist, honored journalist, honored figure of culture, honored athlete and honored figure of education were assigned to 37 citizens.
Two citizens were awarded with the medal For Great Services, 16 people were awarded with a medal Glory to Labor, five people were awarded with a medal of the second degree for the Healthy Generation, 17 people were awarded with the order Friendship and 58 people were awarded with Shuhrat medal.
The Uzbek president's decree on awarding a group of civil servants, employees of the industrial and socio-economic spheres in connection with the 21st anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, as well as a decree on conferring the title "Hero of Uzbekistan" to three Uzbek people were published last week.
According to it, 237 citizens were awarded with medals. Honorary titles were assigned to them.
