Next, the fourth round of the Uzbek-Lithuanian ministerial political consultations will be held in Vilnius on November 19, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.
The delegation led by Deputy Foreign Ministers will represent Uzbekistan and Lithuania at the consultations.
Previous, the third round of the Uzbek-Lithuanian ministerial political consultations was held in Tashkent in October 2010.
In the third round the sides noted that the level and volume of trade, economic, financial and investment ties do not correspond to the potential of the two countries and highlighted the need to strengthen relations in this area, and the development and strengthening of the legal framework of the two countries. It was noted that a fundamental tool to address and discuss the challenges of economic nature are permanent Uzbek-Lithuanian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.
