A meeting with representatives of the competent bodies of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member-states was held in Tashkent. It was dedicated to sharing the information in the fight against terrorism, separatism and extremism, the executive committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure said on Wednesday.

The representatives of the competent bodies from China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan attended the meeting.

According to the press-service, the participants discussed the current situation in the field of security in the SCO region for the coming period, analyzed the activity of a number of terrorist, separatist and extremist organizations.

The security of the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi were considered at the meeting.

SCO includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

SCO observers are Afghanistan, India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan, dialogue partners - Belarus, Turkey and Sri Lanka.

An executive committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure is based in Tashkent.
