UK Ambassador to Uzbekistan George Edgar paid an official visit to Surkhandarya Province (south of Uzbekistan), the UK diplomatic mission rsaid on Feb. 22.
During his visit, Edgar met with the head of the regional administration, Normumin Choriev and representatives of local businesses.
Ambassador also visited Termez State University and Hayraton bridge on the Uzbek-Afghan border.
Ambassador Edgar met with representatives of customs and border services on the bridge Hayraton connecting Uzbekistan and Afghanistan over the Amudarya River.
The diplomat familiarized with the work of customs and border services on security on the border and the flow of goods in both directions.
