Uzbek president receives Russian interior minister

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on May 23 received Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, who is on a working visit in Uzbekistan, the country’s National News Agency (UzA) reported.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of implementation of the agreements, including in the migration sphere, which were adopted during the Uzbek president’s visit to Russia.
Mirziyoyev stressed the importance of continuing active cooperation through law enforcement agencies of the two countries in the field of combating terrorism and extremism, organized crime, drug trafficking and arms trafficking.
Development of cooperation in the field of training and improving the skills of law enforcement personnel were mentioned as important areas of the Uzbek-Russian interaction.
