Uzbekistan allows fixed-route taxi activities

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 2

By Klavdiya Romakayeva - Trend:

Starting from September 5, 2020, fixed-route taxi activities (except for Damas cars) will be resumed in Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing to Norma.uz information and legal portal in Uzbekistan.

Under the quarantine rules, before each trip of a fixed-route taxi, the body temperature of drivers will be measured with pyrometers and if a temperature of 37°C and above is detected, drivers will not be allowed to drive. It is also necessary to ensure that drivers wear medical masks and gloves.

Passengers of fixed-route taxis must wear medical masks, otherwise they will not be allowed into the vehicle.

It is also necessary to ensure that the vehicle (including each seat) is regularly disinfected before each ride.

As for non-route taxis, a barrier made of transparent plastic or special film must be installed in the cabins between the driver and the passenger.

The driver and passengers must wear a medical mask (it is prohibited to transport passengers without a medical mask).

In the cabin, passengers can only take the back seat. The taxi can only move within the region where the car is registered.
