Agrobank to support entrepreneurs in Uzbek region

Agrobank issued credit lines for 213 billion soums for entrepreneurs of the Sokh region in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to spot.uz.

In the Sokh region, the population is actively involved in entrepreneurship, their business projects are supported, and they are provided with modern banking services. Contribution to this work is made by the Sokh branch of Agrobank in the Ferghana region.

In 2020, the Sokh branch of Agrobank was particularly active in attracting the population to entrepreneurship. Some 146 citizens wishing to engage in animal husbandry were allocated 2.82 billion soums ($2.75 million), 175 citizens for organizing sewing business - 1.05 billion soums ($1.02 million), and 334 million soums ($32,528) for organizing compact greenhouses. As a result, 443 jobs were created in the region.

Not only small business is rapidly developing in the Sokh region, but there is also a growing number of new large industrial enterprises, including Khazratillo private company.

Agrobank issued a credit line for the company for 1.5 billion soums ($146,085) for the organization of greenhouses and the construction of refrigerated warehouses. Construction work for over 137 million soums ($13,342) has already been completed, and the enterprise itself will start working by the end of the year. More than 40 people will be provided with jobs.

Sokh Asphalt Beton Kurilish enterprise, which has recently started to work, also contributes to the development of the region. Agrobank allocated 700 million soums ($68,173) of credit for the production of reinforced concrete products. With the opening of the enterprise, 15 people got stable jobs.

The bank serves the population based on a specific target plan. The Sokh branch has recently opened a new banking services center. The quantity and quality of the services provided are constantly improving.
