The share of market services provided by the type of economic activity for 9M2020 in Uzbekistan amounted to 41.268 billion soums ($3.98 million), or 26.3 percent, Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
Over the past period, the share of retail trade amounted to almost three-quarters of the total volume of trade services, or, more precisely, 67.9 percent.
The share of services in wholesale trade (except for trade-in cars and motorcycles) reached 25.3 percent. Wholesale and retail trade of cars and motorcycles, including repair services, accounted for 6.8 percent of the total volume of trade services.
Compared to other regions, the largest share of retail trade services is observed in Kashkadarya (86.5 percent), Andijan (85.5 percent), Jizzakh (83.8 percent), Surkhandarya (83.3 percent), and Navoi (81, 2 percent) regions.
At the same time, this indicator in Tashkent is insignificant, amounting to 47.5 percent. However, in Tashkent, the share of services in wholesale trade (except for trade-in cars and motorcycles) is quite significant - 45.7 percent. In the Andijan region, it was the smallest - 8 percent.
A relatively high share of services for the wholesale and retail trade of cars and motorcycles, including services for their repair, was noted in Samarkand (9.4 percent), Tashkent (8.4 percent), Fergana (7.9 percent), and Navoi (7.9 percent) regions.
The smallest share of these services was recorded in Surkhandarya (3.9 percent), Kashkadarya (4.6 percent), and Jizzakh (4.9 percent) regions.
The volume of market services provided in Uzbekistan from January through September 2020 I total reached 157.08 trillion soums ($15.1 billion), and the nominal volume increased by 16.12 trillion soums ($1.55 billion).
