The largest share of fruit and vegetable products exported from Uzbekistan from January through September falls on cherries and grapes, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
A total of $188.3 million cherries and $118.6 million grapes were exported from Uzbekistan's fruit and vegetable products for 9M2020.
The third place in the list of fruit and vegetable products exported from Uzbekistan belongs to legumes. The legumes export from Uzbekistan in value terms amounted to $82.1 million.
The volume of dried fruits and nuts exported from Uzbekistan amounts to $30.4 and $19.6 million, respectively.
The volume of exports of fruits and vegetables exported from Uzbekistan for nine months in physical terms amounted to 1,088,700 tons. The decline rates compared to the same period in 2019 amounted to 27.4 percent.
In value terms, the volume of exports of fruits and vegetables exported from Uzbekistan for the same reported period exceeded $696.1 million.
In particular, 581,500 tons of vegetables worth $255.4 million were sold abroad, as well as 282,500 tons of fruits and berries worth $276.3 million.
The total share of fruits and vegetables in the total export volume from January through September 2020 amounted to 5.6 percent.
The main export markets for fruit and vegetable products are in Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan.
