Uzbekistan’s 9M2020 volume of agricultural production revealed

The volume of agricultural production from January through September 2020 amounted to 174 trillion soums ($16.8 billion), increasing by 3.4 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the State Statistic Committee.

In addition, crop production reached 84.3 trillion soums ($8.14 billion), increasing by 4.3 percent and the volume of livestock products amounted to 89.7 trillion soums ($8.66 billion), increasing by 2.3 percent compared to 9M2019.

Analysis by category of farms showed that 72.3 percent of the total volume of agricultural production falls on dekhkan (personal subsidiary) farms, 24.7 percent - on farms, three percent - on organizations engaged in agricultural activities.

A significant share of farms in the total agricultural production for 9M2020 was noted in the Samarkand region (31 percent), dekhkan farms of the Navoi region (79.9 percent), and the share of organizations engaged in agricultural activities, recorded in the Tashkent region (9.3 percent).

A low share of farms in the total volume of agricultural production was noted in the Navoi region (16.9 percent), dekhkan farms of the Samarkand and Syrdarya regions (66.2 percent), and the share of organizations engaged in agricultural activities belongs to the Bukhara region (1.4 percent).
