Ministry of Water Resources of Uzbekistan will cover part of the cost of introducing drip irrigation technology for cotton growing, Trend reports referring to Norma information and legal portal.
The government of Uzbekistan has approved a regulation on the procedure for reimbursing part of the costs of agricultural producers for the introduction of water-saving technologies and the return of the subsidy provided.
Thus, according to the Regulation, a subsidy for the introduction of water-saving irrigation technology is allocated from the state budget only once for each circuit.
Also, subsidies are allocated by the Ministry of Water Resources to cover part of the costs of introducing drip irrigation technology for growing cotton.
In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture will allocate subsidies to cover part of the costs when introducing water-saving technologies for the cultivation of grain crops, vegetables and potatoes, melons and fodder, oats, legumes, and medicinal plants, for leveling the land using laser equipment, as well as for the purchase of automated land-planning units with laser installation, produced by domestic manufacturers.
Moreover, funds will be allocated for farmers growing fruit crops and grapes.
It was noted that farmers who have received subsidies through the introduction of water-saving technology if this technology is not used, return the subsidy to ministries and departments in the appropriate order.
If farmers fully utilize this technology within five years, then the subsidy provided will be left entirely at their disposal.
Also, persons who have sent video recordings about cases of non-use of water-saving technologies by the public in accordance with the established procedure will be encouraged by monetary rewards.
It is reported that the encouragement will be carried out once a year in the amount of five percent of the amount of the subsidy charged to applicants. The monetary reward is transferred to the bank card of the person who provided the information.
