Uzbekistan considers supplying metallurgical products to Japan

Uzbekistan and Japan discussed the possibility of supplying products of the Uzbek Metallurgical Plant to Japan, Trend reports with reference to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan.

It is reported that the representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan met with the management of HANWA Co., Ltd, steel products company.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for establishing cooperation in the metallurgical industry, as well as the possibility of supplying products of the Uzbek Metallurgical Plant to Japan.

The Japanese side was familiarized with the ongoing reforms in the metallurgical sector of Uzbekistan in recent years. It is noted that interest was expressed in the implementation of joint projects in geology, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy.

Founded by HANWA Co., Ltd in 1947, the company has 19 offices in Japan, 50 offices in foreign countries, and 6 logistics centers. The main business line is steel products, steelmaking raw materials, building materials, non-ferrous metals, recycled materials, industrial equipment, information processing equipment, oil, chemicals, cement, seafood, lumber, etc.

Uzbek Metallurgical Plant Joint Stock Company is the leading ferrous metallurgy enterprise in Uzbekistan. The plant is the basic industry and is in close relationship with all other enterprises, therefore, the development of ferrous metallurgy in Uzbekistan is a priority national task of the current stage of economic development.
