Uzbekistan and Latvia agree on creation of the Trade House of Uzbekistan in Riga, Trend reports referring to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Latvia.

The agreement was reached following the results of online negotiations organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Latvia between the chairman of the supervisory board of BMB Trade Group Bekzod Mamatkulov and the head of the Latvian Outdoor Media company Vladimir Galperin.

The representatives of the companies presented detailed information about their activities, exchanged up-to-date information on the specifics of practice and the legal framework governing the creation of trade houses in Uzbekistan abroad, as well as measures to stimulate and support export-oriented activities of Uzbek companies.

The participants of the event emphasized that Uzbekistan and Latvia are active trade partners. For Uzbek companies, it is of considerable interest to use the Latvian infrastructure to further enter the vast European markets.

It was also noted that the trading house in Riga will make it possible to establish permanent contacts between the business circles of the two countries and organize systematic export of domestically produced goods to Latvia and further to the Baltic countries, Scandinavia, Eastern, Central and Western Europe.
