Crow Holdings considers investing in number of sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy

Crow Holdings, privately owned real estate investment and development firm in the US, is considering investing in construction industry, energy, and tourism sectors of Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to the press service of Senate of Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of Uzbekistan.

On June 2, 2021, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sadyk Safoyev met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of one of the world's largest investment and real estate companies Crow Holdings - Harlan Crow.

The meeting was attended by executives and representatives of large investment companies, the Hudson Institute, and The Wall Street Journal.

Detailed information was given on the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in all spheres, as well as on ensuring the interests of the population, freedom of speech. In addition, it was noted about the country's foreign policy, the development of relations with foreign states, especially with the countries of Central Asia.

Also, during the meeting, issues in the spheres of the economy, making investments in the construction, energy and tourism sectors were considered. In particular, the prospects for the construction of a railway through Afghanistan to ports in the Indian Ocean, as well as the implementation of projects in the field of construction, the development of tourist infrastructure.

Crow highly assessed the changes being carried out in Uzbekistan, in particular to the conditions created for the development of entrepreneurship, the implementation of logistics and infrastructure projects, and others.
