The minimum size of pensions and benefits in Uzbekistan as well as introduce additional payments for social benefits will increase from July 1, Trend reports referring to Uza.uz national news agency.
According to the information, starting from July 1 Uzbekistan introduces an additional payment in the amount of 20 percent of the basic calculated value of calculating the pension for persons receiving a pension in the established minimum pension for old age and below.
At the same time, the minimum pension for incomplete work experience, taking into account the additional payment, increases from 256,675 soums ($24.34) to 400,000 soums ($37.94).
Also, the size of old-age and disability pensions for persons receiving pensions in the amount of the established minimum old-age pension will be increased to 565,000 soums ($53.58) and the number of benefits for the elderly and disabled citizens who do not have the required work experience will be increased from 315,030 soums ($29.88) to 400,000 soums ($37.94).
In addition, on the occasion of the loss of a breadwinner, it is envisaged to introduce an additional payment for each disabled family member of the recipient of the pension. Also, it is envisaged to increase from 256,675 soums ($24.34) to 400,000 soums ($37.94) the minimum pension for one disabled family member of the recipient of the pension and pay the pension to each next disabled family member of the recipient of the pension in accordance with the current procedure.
Moreover, in order to cover all family members receiving benefits, the amount of the benefit per one disabled member of these families will amount to 400,000 soums ($37.94) and the addition of 150,000 soums ($14.23) will be provided for each next disabled member of such families.
The monthly amount of benefits paid to disabled people from childhood is increased from 513,350 soums ($48.69) to 565,000 soums ($53.58).
The previous time, the size of pensions and benefits increased from September 1 of last year. Since February 1 of this year, the salaries of employees of budgetary organizations, scholarships, as well as the amount of some benefits have been increased. From the same date, new minimum wages and a base estimate were established.
