Uzbekistan’s Fergana region exports cherries to South Korea

Some 52,236 kilograms of cherries were exported from the Fergana region of Uzbekistan to South Korea, Trend reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

According to the ministry, a cargo flight of Uzbekistan Airways on the Fergana-Incheon route, organized from the Fergana International Airport, exported cherries worth $246,000.

It is reported that the process of registration of cherries for export was carried out by the customs post of Kirguli foreign economic activity promptly and in a simplified manner.

“Fergana International Airport has all the conditions for storing and loading perishable agricultural products, such as cherries, on airplanes, which allows high-quality storage and delivery of products abroad without damage,” the message said.

Earlier it was reported that the Fergana region of Uzbekistan exported the first batch of peaches. According to the information, as an example, peaches were sent to many foreign countries in small quantities. Due to the great demand from abroad for peaches with a unique taste and quality, entrepreneurs began to export the first batch of peaches.

It was noted that peaches are grown in Kuvasoy, Oltiarik, Besharik and Uzbek districts are in great demand abroad.
