Uzbekistan reveals volume of dried fruits and berries exported in 5M2021

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 28

Some 25,800 tons of dried fruits and berries were exported from Uzbekistan from January through May 2021, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

According to the committee, during the reporting period, 526,900 tons of fruits and vegetables were exported from Uzbekistan in the amount of $291.6 million.

In particular, Uzbekistan exported 70,200 tons of fruits and berries, 25,800 tons of dried fruits and berries, 419,000 tons of vegetables, 6,500 tons of pepper, 2,000 tons of grapes, 16,300 tons of raisins, 9,400 tons of peanuts, and 2,800 tons of watermelons and melons.

Earlier it was reported in 5M2021 some 261,500 tons of agricultural products for $76.6 million were shipped to Kazakhstan with a share of 26.3 percent in total exports.

The second major consumer of agricultural products from Uzbekistan was Russia, which imported 103,100 tons of vegetables and fruits for $68.4 million with a share of 23.5 percent in the nationwide export of fruits and vegetables.

At the same time, during this period, 45,400 tons of fruit and vegetable products were shipped to Kyrgyzstan for $42.3 million with a specific weight of 14.5 percent, and to China – 30,500 tons for $25.5 million with a specific weight of 8.7 percent in nationwide exports.
