Uzbek vegetable oil factory in Tashkent put up for auction

The State Assets Management Agency of Uzbekistan has put up a controlling package of shares in Tashkent Vegetable Oil Factory for sale, Trend reports referring to a source in the agency.

According to the source, 4,436,581 common shares or 56 percent of the company's shares were put up for sale. The nominal value is 1,750 soums ($1.7) with the starting price of one share making up 24,225 soums ($23).

The starting cost of the entire package is 107.4 billion soums ($10 million).

The enterprise was established in 1994 on the basis of the Tashkent oil and fat plant.

Its main activity is the manufacturing of food products under the ‘Moya Mechta, ‘Dushka’, ‘Polyana’, ‘Kudesnitsa’, ‘Dvoryanskoye’, ‘Mayona’ brands (vegetable oils, margarines, mayonnaises, and others).
