Foreign trade to be simplified in Uzbekistan

The government of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution "On additional measures to further simplify customs administration and procedures", Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Justice.

In accordance with the resolution, from August 1, 2021, processing operations are allowed even if there is no foreign customer at the request of the customs regime.

The new types of foreign trade contracts for export, import, sale and purchase are also being introduced, allowing an entrepreneur to purchase raw materials from abroad and sell them to any foreign partner after processing them in the country without paying customs fees.

Domestic organizations exporting goods are allowed to buy products from abroad and sell them directly to a third country without import.

Moreover, a procedure of control will be introduced for the supply contract to be linked to the export contract while the purchase contract - to the sales contract.

The changes and additions to the Regulation on the procedure for monitoring and control over the implementation of foreign trade operations have been made upon the resolution.

In accordance with this resolution, proceeding from the foreign trade contracts and invoices, the payment currency is established upon the agreement of the sides (previously it was in foreign currency).
