Uzbekistan imported 289 million liters of gasoline from January through September in 2021, Trend reports via the State Statistics Committee.
The volume of imported gasoline in the nine months of 2021 amounted to $104 million.
The import of gasoline increased by 137 million liters in comparison with the corresponding period of the last year.
The main countries which export gasoline to Uzbekistan are Russia (140.5 million liters), Turkmenistan (126.8 million liters), Kazakhstan (16 million liters), Iraq (3.6 million liters).
According to the Ministry of Energy, gasoline prices continue to rise in Uzbekistan. However, the Independent Fuel Union of the country is looking for other alternatives to gasoline.
