The volume of small and medium-sized businesses in the industrial sector of Uzbekistan has grown 10.1 times over the past 10 years, Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
This figure amounted to 103 trillion soums ($9.5 billion) in 2020, and in 2010 it amounted to 10.1 trillion soums ($937.3 million).
The volume of small and medium-sized businesses in the construction sector amounted to 63.8 trillion soums ($5.9 billion) in 2020 which is an increase of 15.3 times compared to 2010 (4.1 trillion soums, or $385.1 million).
In the trade sector, the volume of small and medium-sized businesses amounted to 164.1 trillion soums ($15.1 billion) last year, which is an increase of 8.8 times compared to 2010 (18.6 trillion soums, or $1.7 billion).
In the field of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, the volume of small and medium-sized businesses increased by 7.9 times in 2020 (253.2 trillion soums, or $23.4 billion) compared to 2010 (31.9 trillion soums, or $2.9 billion).
