Uzbekistan has imported 27,067 cars in 2021, which is an increase of 1,348 cars compared to 2020, Trend reports referring to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
In 2021, Uzbekistan imported cars worth $588.2 million from 26 countries.
According to the committee, the country has produced 236,667 cars last year.
During this period, most of cars were imported from China (8,880 units).
The main countries that exported cars to Uzbekistan in 2021 were South Korea (6,472), Russia (4,539), Kazakhstan (4,470), Poland (1,204), US (490), Lithuania (428), Thailand (250), Germany (115), Japan (97).
Uzbekistan imported 809 electric cars in amount of $16.9 million from 11 foreign countries in 2021.
The import of electric cars increased by 679 units or 6.2 times compared to 2020.
