BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. The potato harvest in Uzbekistan, according to preliminary forecasts, will be more than 4 million tons in 2022,Trend reports via Uzbek Ministry of Agriculture.
In 2022, 243,000 hectares of land were allocated for the potato harvest, which is 86,000 hectares more than last year.
It is predicted that by increasing the area of planting land, this year Uzbekistan will receive 4.1 million tons of potatoes. Preliminarily, 2.6 million tons will be grown by farms, and 1.5 million tons - on household plots.
According to the ministry, in 2021, the potato harvest amounted to 3.3 million tons.
