BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. The regulatory capital of the banks of Uzbekistan amounted to 76.1 trillion soums ($6.8 billion) as of April 1, 2022, which is an increase of 26 percent compared to the same period last year (60.4 trillion soums or $5.4 billion), Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Central Bank.
During this period, the capital of the first tier accounted for 53.8 trillion soums ($4.8 billion), which is an increase of 21.5 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 (65.4 trillion soums, or $5.8 billion).
The capital of the second tier as of April 1, 2022, increased by 62.3 percent and reached 10.7 trillion soums ($954.8 million). As of April 1, 2021, his indicator amounted to 6.6 trillion soums ($588.5 million).
At the same time, the capital of the first tier accounted for 86 percent of the total regulatory capital, and the second-tier accounted for 14 percent.
