BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 20. Uzbek Uzbekiston temir yullari JSC (Uzbekistan Railways) plans to acquire new high-speed electric trains from Spain, Trend reports via the company's statement.
This issue was discussed during a meeting with a delegation from Spain, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Patentes Talgo S.L.U., Urquijo Fernandez de Araoz Gonzalo, which took place in the Uzbekiston temir yullari.
During the meeting with the acting Chairman of the Board of Uzbekiston temir yullari a number of issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as the further development of a long-term and fruitful partnership with Spain, were discussed.
During the visit, members of the delegation, as well as the head of the Patentes Talgo representative office in Uzbekistan, Antonio Martinez, visited the Afrosiyob High-Speed Electric Train Service Center.
The management of the Department for the organization and operation of high-speed passenger train traffic, acquainted the guests with the work carried out here for the maintenance of the rolling stock and conducted online monitoring of the movement of trains, and the working conditions of the staff.
During the meeting, the issues of maintenance of high-speed trains were also considered.
