BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 26. The EBRD will continue providing financial and advisory assistance to reforms in the transport sector of Uzbekistan, Trend reports via the Uzbek Ministry of Transport.
In this regard, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdusamat Muminov met with the Managing Director for Central Asia of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Zsuzsanna Hargitai.
At the meeting, Hargitai highly appreciated the measures taken to develop the country's transport and logistics system, accelerate transformation processes in industry organizations, and expand the implementation of transport infrastructure projects based on PPP (Public-Private Partnership).
In turn, Deputy Minister of Transport Muminov emphasized that with the financial support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the country is successfully implementing investment projects to develop the transport system.
Based on the results of the negotiations, the parties determined the tasks that will be implemented in the future within the framework of the discussed areas of cooperation.
