BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14. Uzbekneftegaz JSC put into operation a new gas pipeline with a length of 4.2 km and a diameter of 168 mm from the Severnaya Suzma and Chakkakum fields to the Urtakum primary gas treatment unit, Trend reports via the company’s statement.

As a result of the expansion work on the natural gas pipeline, a daily production of 50,000 cubic meters of natural gas and 1 ton of condensate has been achieved.

The "Severnaya Suzma", "Chakkakum" fields and "Urtakum" unit are located in the Karakul district of the country's Bukhara region.

Previously, Uzbekneftegaz JSC put into operation a new gas pipeline with a length of 2.7 km and a diameter of 168x6 mm at the Zapadno-Nizhny Surgil field.

As a result of the commissioning of these gas pipelines, the gas transmission system of the Zapadno-Nizhny Surgil field improved, which led to an increase in the daily production of natural gas by increasing the throughput and reducing the pressure difference in existing pipelines, that is, preventing hydraulic resistance.
