Uzbekistan sees growth in tax revenues in 8M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. The volume of tax revenues from January through August 2022 in Uzbekistan increased by 16.5 percent compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports via the Center for Economic Research and Reform of Uzbekistan (CERR).

According to the monitoring results of the CERR, a significant increase in tax revenues in 8 months of this year was noted in the capital Tashkent (42.8 percent), Fergana (38.7 percent), Samarkand (36.3 percent) and Sirdaryo region (35.5 percent).

The center noted that the growth of tax revenues was ensured due to positive changes in the economy of Uzbekistan, improvements in the tax administration system, including:

- introduction of new administrative tools;

- digitalization and automation of processes;

- legalization of entrepreneurial activity;

- simplification of the procedure for compliance with the requirements of tax legislation.
